Developing Cross Cultural Awareness in BusinessPresentation to students |

This
webquest aims to draw your attention to the cultural differences which
exist between countries, and make you realise how difficult, but
essential, it is to understand those differences. In overseas business,
cross-cultural skills are fundamental in order to learn to communicate
effectively.
You
will first be confronted with the issue of cultural stereotypes,discussing their
origin and their impact (step 1). You will then move on to realise
the importance of being culturally savvy when doing overseas
business (step 2). Next you will be entrusted with the difficult task
of assisting managers by providing support and advice in their business
trips abroad as you will play the role of a cross-cultural expert (step 3).
Ultimately,
you will choose a country to specialise in and design a quiz
to test people's knowledge of its culture (step 4).
